TREATMENT SERVICES

Daniel is a qualified Myotherapist (Adv.Dip R.M (Myotherapy)). His treatments aim to create space in areas of the body that lack the room to function as they should. This allows pain and discomfort to leave the body, encouraging optimal movement and strength to return.

The treatment process starts with a thorough assesment of your history. From current complaints to old injuries that maybe driving your current movement strategies. Movement and strength testing provides comprehensive and objective information helping form your treatment plan. As bodyworkers or soft tissue specialists one of the most powerful tools is our hands and our palpatory assessment.  This can instantly give us feedback on how the muscular and fascial tissue in different areas of your body is adapting to your current condition; what areas may benefit from treatment; and which areas are happy and functioning well.

Corrective exercise and teaching movement protocols improves the mind-body link and provides long-term health. Empowering clients with this knowledge and tools to effectively improve their condition is something we take pride in.

Soft tissue manipulation techniques, together with other modalities such as: trigger point therapy; dry needling; deep tissue massage; hot and cold therapies; passive/active muscle stretching; and corrective or rehabilitative exercises can be used to treat symptoms.

A referral letter is not required to see a Myotherapist unless you are a WorkCover patient.

REMEDIAL MASSAGE

Remedial Massage is a treatment method that manipulates the soft tissues of the body including movement for a specific therapeutic effect. It uses relevant techniques, lubricants and movements according to the client’s needs and response.  This leads to the healing process, which begins at the cellular level aiding soft tissues in repairing, restoring functional integrity and adapting back to health.

Remedial Massage is used to treat chronic muscular-skeletal imbalances, strains, sprains, bruising or any injury where the skin is intact.

Deep tissue massage can be used to remove blockages, damaged cells, scar tissue and adhesions left after injury.  It also can speeds up recovery and encourage more complete healing.

Remedial Massage is designed to increase the flow of blood and lymph, particularly in the injured areas.

FASCIAL MANIPULATION

Fascial Manipulation© is a manual therapy method, which involves identifying a specific, localised area of the fascia in connection with a specific limited movement. Once a limited or painful movement is identified, then a specific point on the fascia is implicated and through the appropriate manipulation, movement can be restored.
